Preservation Dallas is excited to announce the Greenland Hills Centennial Home Tour.
We are partnering with this East Dallas neighborhood—which comprises much of the “M-Streets” district—to help celebrate their 100-year milestone. Developed in 1923 on what was then the fringe of Dallas, 98 acres of the Bennett farm was transformed into this leafy neighborhood. The Greenland Hills neighborhood is bounded by McCommas Avenue to the North; Central Expressway to the West; Vanderbilt Avenue to the South; and Greenville Avenue to the East.
This year’s event on Saturday, October 14th, will include tour homes that are outstanding examples of preservation and restoration. Greenland Hills is best known for its collection of Tudor Revival-style homes, but also includes other historic styles, including Spanish Eclectics and Craftsman Bungalows.
